Discover real Thai street food by BANGKOK BOX at The Brentham Club between 5pm and 9pm.

Once a month, the grounds of this idyllic sports club in Ealing are transformed into a street food haven. While Street Food Fridays are undoubtedly a highlight in the Brentham Club’s calendar, they’re just one fixture in a vibrant social schedule that features quiz nights, band performances, tribute acts, comedy nights, and an array of classes. There really is something for everyone, going on at all times at The Brentham Club.

Set in 12 acres of conservation land beside the River Brent in Ealing, and surrounded by woodland, the Brentham Club was established in 1911 specifically to provide sport and leisure facilities to the local community. Back then, the focus was on sports like cricket, tennis, football and bowls.

It just so happened that one member of that community was a young boy named Fred Perry, who lived with his family at 223 Pitshanger Lane, just a few hundred metres away from The Brentham Club. Fred Perry was a member of the Brentham Club between 1919 and 1935 where he played tennis and won the club’s championship in 1926 and 1927, before going on to become Britain’s first tennis star, world number one, and Wimbledon champion for three years in 1934, 1935 and 1936. Today, there are is a plaque commemorating Fred Perry on display at The Brentham Club, and another at Fred Perry’s nearby childhood home. The club also named its cafe after Fred Perry, as well as the club’s championship. The Brentham Club is unsurprisingly a favourite venue for events held by the Fred Perry Tennis Trust.

The happy vibe of The Brentham Club makes this one of our favourite places to trade.

We can’t wait to see you!
